Winner of the 4th Edition “Student Pastry Chef of the Year”

Cecille wins the "Student Pastry Chef of the Year" competition in the UK

Cecille Youngs from West Suffolk College secures the top position

On May 14th, another competition took place in another country: the final of the “Student Pastry Chef of the Year” at West London College. The final brought together the top 8 pastry students in England, competing on the theme “Grab n Go,” presenting 12 individual desserts and 2 entremets.

First place was awarded to Cecille Youngs from West Suffolk College, making her the top student pastry chef of the year. She was followed by Penelope Garside from York College, and then Jazmin Williams from the NPTC Group. An all-female podium!

With her entremets featuring coconut, passion fruit, mango, and white chocolate, and her individual dessert showcasing rhubarb and pistachio, Cecille utilized Andros Chef ingredients in her creations, including our passion high fruit compote and mango, passion, rhubarb purees. As the official supplier of the competition, Andros Chef provided all the necessary fruit ingredients for the participants’ training and the final event.
