The 2nd edition of the Fruits de Talent competition: Choose your citrus!

After a very successful first edition, France’s most fruit-forward pastry competition is setting the stage again: Applications are open until February 4, 2022. Find all the information you need in order to participate in this major moment of transmission right here.

A strong concept

The Fruits de Talent competition was created by Andros to highlight the importance of learning in the culinary trades. Hard work, rigor and discipline are indispensable, but so is support between professionals and also the transmission of knowledge. This competition allows people to meet and help one another, and gives a boost to the younger generation. Those who have experienced it say it best: Watch the video from the 2021 Fruits de talent competition.

A fruity theme

Fruit is the heart and focus of this competition. All the proposed recipes must follow the same rules of naturality that are so dear to Andros and that guide the development of its own fruit ingredients.

Choose your citrus!

Following the Fruit St. Honoré and the Peach Melba of last year’s competition, make way for…citrus! The Andros Chef range with over 15 references made of lemons, oranges and other citrus fruits will be available to help stimulate the creativity of the young candidates. It’s up to them to interpret them in an individual entremet recipe; an individual restaurant-style dessert; a cake; and another confection. All of the plated desserts will be presented by the candidates at a final buffet.

Talented candidates

Who can participate? Like last year, the competition is open to students and apprentices who live in France, and who are affiliated with French establishments with a Mention Complémentaire Pâtissier, Mention complémentaire Dessert de restaurant, BTM Pâtissier, BM pâtissier, Bachelor des métiers de bouche or a lycée de bac professionnel boulanger pâtissier. The age limit is 30 on the final day of the competition.
