Registration for the Andros Chef 2023 “Fruits de Talent” competition is now open
The Fruits de Talent Andros Chef Competition brings together today’s excellence and tomorrow’s talents to celebrate the fruit in pastry. This one of a kind competition is chaperoned by gastronomy experts, united by their passion the fruits, their drive to share their knowledge and to go above and beyond.
The students will have to demonstrate their mastery of pastry-making techniques and let their imagination and creativity run free to answer the set theme, in real professional pastry competition settings.
Bringing together plants in every shape and form with a gourmet touch
After celebrating citrus fruits in the 2022 edition, this year the participants will tackle a brand-new theme:
Fresh from the garden! Fruits, flowers and aromatic plants: plants in association with fruit.
To cover this theme, four challenges await the finalists:
- A recipe for boutique-style desserts
- An individual restaurant-style dessert
- A transportable mobile dessert
- A confectionnary
All desserts must meet the same high standards of authenticity that Andros Chef sets for its own fruit ingredient recipes.
Laurent Le Daniel will preside over a prestigious jury
The eight finalists will have to execute their creations during the grand finals on 12 and 13 May 2023 in the heart of our orchards.
Laurent Le Daniel, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and President of the French National Confederation of Artisanal Pastry Chefs, Chocolatiers, Confectioners, Ice Cream Makers and Caterers, will be the President of the jury over this year’s competition and a prestigious jury of gastronomic figures will award the best candidate the title of “Andros Chef 2023 Fruit of Talent”!
