A celebration of pastry in the UK
The Student Pastry Chef of the Year competition is already celebrating its 5th edition, bringing together students and apprentices currently in training in the United Kingdom. For the second consecutive year, we are delighted to renew our partnership with this renowned competition organized each year by The Chefs’ Forum.
This partnership is particularly dear to us as it highlights young talents and contributes to the transmission of knowledge, principles we highly support.
Support for young talents still
To support this partnership, we are pleased to provide samples of Andros Chef fruit ingredients to all finalists and their schools, to assist them in their training and during the competition. The final is scheduled for May 13rd at West London College.
We offer the 2025 winner an exclusive invitation to visit Andros in France, to discover the “Atelier du Fruit et du Végétal”, as well as the experimental Andros orchard and our primary fruit processing workshop.
This year’s finalists are:
- Abbie Williams – Coleg y Cymoedd
- Daria Naumenko – North Hertfordshire College
- Gareth Simpson-Rogers (Tay) – Coleg y Cymoedd
- George Walker – Bridgwater & Taunton College
- Jessica Sale – Loughborough College
- Lucy Hammett – St Austell College (Cornwall College)
- Phoebe Mortimer – Cornwall College
- Sofia Bond – Westminster Kingsway College
Each finalist had to prepare restaurant desserts and petits fours, demonstrating technical precision as well as creativity.
The jury has been co-chaired by Franciane Tartari, an international pastry chef. Last year, she accompanied the 2024 winner to our workshop in France. Since then, she has been one of our privileged chefs with whom we are delighted to collaborate.
We’re once again delighted to take part in this competition that celebrates the creativity of young pastry chefs and to continue supporting emerging talent in the world of pastry.
