“Fruits de Talent” pastry competition: A new edition led by double Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Guy Krenzer

The theme and President of the 2025 Fruits de Talent competition have finally been revealed!

The ANDROS CHEF “FRUITS DE TALENT” PASTRY COMPETITION showcases the skills of young pastry chefs in training, their coaches, and the dedication of their schools in front of a professional jury.

This is the first and only competition focused on fruits in pastry. It also highlights the same natural values dear to Andros, which are the foundation of its fruit ingredients. Only natural ingredients are allowed.

Join us to celebrate pastry in all its forms and reveal your creativity!

The theme of the 5th edition of the pastry competition

Apricot puree

For this 5th edition, the theme is:

You will need to demonstrate originality by creating 3 unique recipes:

  • A boutique entremets recipe
  • An individual dessert The Paris-Biars is inspired by the classic French dessert, the Paris-Brest. 
  • A mocktail

Note: Originality and creativity are essential. They allow candidates to stand out and showcase their unique talent. However, it is crucial to find a balance between innovation and flavor harmony. Too many different tastes can compete and create a confusing experience.

The 8 lucky finalists selected from the applications will also have to create a savory piece for the final, which will be held on May 16-17, 2025. This is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate your skills, compete with other enthusiasts, and face a professional jury.

The new edition of “Fruits de Talent” will be presided over by Mr. Guy Krenzer:

  • Meilleur Ouvrier de France 1988 in charcuterie and catering,
  • Meilleur Ouvrier de France 1996 in cooking,
  • Director of Creation and Executive Chef at Maison Lenôtre,
  • Professional barista and roaster.

*The competition is open to students and apprentices in France, in Complementary Mentions (CS – Specialization Certificate) Pastry Chef, Restaurant Dessert, Bakery Pastry, Boutique Pastry, as well as BTM Pastry Chef, Chocolatier, BM Pastry Chef, Bachelor of Culinary Arts, and Professional Boulanger-Pâtissier.
